Saturday morning we headed out on the bike to experience riding the Tail of the Dragon on highway 129.  Famous ride for motorcycles & sports cars.  Vehicles over 30 ft long are not permitted on this stretch of highway.  318 turns in 11 miles with more than a few hairpins😊. The ride getting there was awesome too.  Tennessee is so beautiful with lush heavily treed landscapes.  Everything is so green.  We loved the ride out and put about 400 km on getting there.  We took secondary highways and enjoyed the scenery.  We stopped in at The Smoky Mountain Harley dealership as we’d heard they had a bbq pit next to the dealership.  Very big showroom and a hopping place with at least 100 bikes visiting.  We had lunch at the bbq pit.
Typical roads & scenery when off the major highways

Then we were off across the Tennessee River to Lenoir City where we had booked a hotel for the night.  We were impressed with how many boats were on the river, which was a lake on the one side because it was dammed.  We found out later why😊. We were 30-40 minutes away from Tail
of the Dragon so decided to head over & ride it!  Again gorgeous ride over.  We did the tail, had a quick rest & look around at the retail vendors and then rode it again to the hotel.  We went for a great dinner on the docks on the Tennessee River and found out after we were seated Rock the Dock was happening...a spectacular fireworks show!  We had front row seats! Us pyrotechnitions were pretty excited!  The show was very impressive and we took note of some of their choreography to add to our shows in the future.
