July 26 Boston Harbour
Took the train into Boston again. We seriously considered catching part of a Red Sox game at Fenway Park but we’d only be able to stay for an hour in order to catch the last train and the next day was a big driving day heading north so acted like responsible adults and missed it. No fun!! We had a great boat ride touring the Boston harbour though! We learned that almost half the downtown core has been “wharfed” out...developed on reclaimed land. It’s truly incredible to see when you understand what you are looking at! The airport is right beside the harbour. One of the photos shows a plane coming in for a landing...probably ever minute another plane is making this flight path. The airport was an island but now has expanded onto reclaimed land and no longer an island. Boston is a vibrant & beautiful city with so much history combined with new developments. We really loved this city and the New England states. They really love their sports teams here. I guess I have to give them that. They may have won a few Super Bowls & Stanley cups.
