Graceland

Tuesday, July 2nd we went to Graceland to visit Elvis’ home.  It was interesting, but so commercialized, which we were expecting anyway but still wanted to check it out.  Elvis was a very generous man and donated so much of his wealth.  He never attended an awards ceremony.  His dad managed the money and was very frugal so a big contrast to Elvis who loved to splurge.  We walked through his house which is still decorated in 70’s style and mostly how it was when he lived there.  We also saw his car museum which had all of his personal vehicles.  His mom drove a pink Cadillac. Elvis only drove big cars because he wanted lots of metal around him.

The light show bridge in yesterday’s post goes to Arkansas so we had to cross!
